Okay, here was the idea that was the basis from this toon from a couple of days ago.
It was pretty much a Terminator type scenario where a killer robot (or four) came back from the future to eliminate the ancestor of a future hero. These robots took the form of a local girl with curls and slowly stalked her intended target of Laura Ingalls. She then raised holy terror on the unsuspecting town of Walnut Grove.
However, our heroine, being the fun-loving tomboy that she was, unknowingly evaded her murderous adversary at every turn. By dumping the supposedly wheelchair bound Nellie-bot in the pond, she short-circuited her internal workings, causing for the need for an additional Nellie-bot to be sent. During a mudfight, she rammed mud into Nellie's mouth, causing corrosion of her head and central processing unit. Again, another Nellie-bot was sent... and again... and again... A secondary bot was eventually created, a Nancy-bot, but she lacked the appeal of her predecessor and was made to stand in the corner.
Eventually, the Nellie-bots remaining in the future turned on their creators and ran for public office. The human race in grave danger finally banded together to defeat the Nellie-bots using hard candy and shiny objects, gleaned from the writings found in the Little House book series.
Earth became a peaceful Utopia and Nellie Oleson was defined as the epitome of evil, which wasn't much of a stretch. The head and curls of one Nellie-bot is on display at the Smithsonian in the year 3008.
Every now and then... for no apparent reason... the eyes glow and it screams...
"MOTHER!!!!"
