The iZombie Dies Again

kybearfuzzNothing like packing for a trip to DC and trying to load up new music only to find my iZombie has kicked the bucket again. After trying for over an hour, I'm not sure I can resurrect it again using non-magical means.
So the question is what kind of iPod should I replace it with? My iPod Shuffle, while cute, just doesn't have the capacity for podcasts and audiobooks I usually load up for travel. Should I go after an iPod Touch? The internet function would be nice, but I'd probably only get the 16 GB as I change music often. If I'm only after the music part, maybe an iPod Classic or even an iPod Mini? iZombie is a 2003 model and has a 20 GB capacity that I never reached, so a smaller one might be suitable.
Opinions? Suggestions? There is an Apple Store near my DC hotel, so I may buy one while I'm gone.
