After being off for two weeks, coming back to work is like slipping my foot into an old comfortable shoe... from high school that's now two sizes too small. Walking in as a veritable train wreck of a person who is no longer used to being awakened at 5 AM, I was surprised that very little actually went crazy in my absence, for which I am grateful.

My last weekend was probably my busiest. Friday was dinner and watching DVD's with the visiting [livejournal.com profile] aceofspace who stopped over on his way to our hometown. We hit Best Buy where I found they've marked down the second season of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon series at $19.99 each. I love a bargain.

Saturday was dinner with [livejournal.com profile] cubtharsis, the visiting [livejournal.com profile] pinner123, and non-LJ'ers Matt & Bill at the Cheesecake Factory. It was good to meet Dave in person. After dinner we played a Wii game, proving once again my lack of skills at video games, coming in a celebrated dead last in score. My record is intact. If you can't do it well, enjoy playing it badly.

Sunday, I met up with Brian ([livejournal.com profile] cincycub) for dinner at QDoba and a showing of Leatherheads at the dollar house in Florence, KY. Overall, it was a cute movie, but I think I can see why it didn't do so well at the box office. It seemed to lag a bit in the middle, but George Clooney is wonderful in it.

It was a good way to end a two-week vacation. Now if I could only get into the swing of being back in the office.. sigh...

The Cartoon Network He-Man series was really great; I'll be picking that up this week as well. :)

I heard that from a few folks about that film. I'm really looking forward to the dark comedy, "Burn After Reading", which he's doing with the Coen Brothers.

And a great cast, too! It's about time Frances McDormand returned for a Coen Brothers flick!

I'm not very good at video games, and i really tried to stay away from them....but then i discovered guitar hero and rockband....i like that you don't have to worry about knowing how to do all these moves and everything like for other games....just hit the notes :D

i'm rather obsessed...

Heh.. this still requires a bit more coordination than I have. If you could see me play softball, you'd know that most video games are beyond my scope :)
