Death of an iPod

I have a four-hour, boring-as-hell drive to Cleveland today...

... and my iPod decided to die this morning.

... I am cursed...

Update: I've somehow managed to revive the dead. The iPod seems to work for now. No music though :(

I kinda want a touch, especially now that you can get the internet stuff without the phone part of the iPhone. I want to wait till they have at least a 60GB version though. I've got too much stuff to fit on even the 32GB one.

Do you have to get a separate internet provider for the iTouch? I thought you did or can you rely on WIFI networks in other places?

I'm not sure. I'm guessing it's a separate bill if you want to use their network, but free if you're using a local wireless access point? I haven't looked into it much yet, since the machine's not big enough for my use yet (in this one instance I'm willing to be a size queen *G*)
