Sunday, [livejournal.com profile] cubtharsis and I hit a matinee of The Orphanage. I'd already seen it, but he hadn't. It was just as good the second time for me, even moreso as I saw things I had missed during my first showing. I look forward to getting this on DVD.

Monday was off for me somehow. I woke up and just couldn't muster the energy to get to work. It's odd to sit and just stare into space like that. I've seen my nephew do it when he has to be up for school, but at least he just woke up. I was like that for hours. I did make it work very VERY late. I went to bed around 9 PM last night. I must be getting old.

Strangely, this morning, I'm up and at it at 4:30 AM. I even made it to the gym this morning, watching Conan: The Barbarian on the big screen while running on the treadmill. Geez, it's really a bad movie. I'm starting to crash again, wondering if it's the weather or something.

I really like "The Orphanage." I am surprised it didn't end up being nominated for best foreign film for an Oscar as I really thought it was that kind of quality film. Belen Rueda is also just spectacular in the film. I remember hearing about this movie months ago and just loved the premise, so I was excited when it got released here. I've heard there is supposed to be an American version made, but I'm sure it will suck, as most remakes do.

And as for this morning, I didn't get to pick the movie. Believe me, "Hot Fuzz" would have been much more preferable. :)

I saw that one too and he does do a fantastic job, very creepy and commmanding. I'm hoping he wins.
