kybearfuzz: (Movie Buff)

It's been a great Saturday, starting out with a great brunch at Brian's ([livejournal.com profile] cincycub) with the usual gang. Brian is a great cook and I need to get the recipes he makes. Afterward, we sat around and chatted a bit, but the breakfast kinda made me sleepy (oooh.. the carb-filled goodness). So I went home for a nap, followed by a Chipotle dinner.

I made it to the movies later to catch a showing of Untraceable. Diane Lane plays an FBI agent in the computer crime division who becomes the lead agent investigating a website where people are tortured and killed online, shown through streaming video. The twist is that as more people log in to see the person being killed, he dies faster. The acting is very good and I was surprised to see Collin Hanks playing another FBI agent. The movie is a bit gory, but no more than any other thriller these days. It does raise a question: if you knew that logging onto the site caused someone to die faster, could you be charged as an accomplice? Hmm.... I enjoyed the movie and would see it again, but I don't necessarily see it as something I'd buy.
