kybearfuzz: (Movie Buff)

I got a flu shot at work last week and it seems to have worked. I don't have the flu, but I seem to have picked up a minor cold. I wasn't feeling up to driving the 30 minutes to West Chester for any more movies, so I decided to watch some of the movies from a 50-horror movie box set I bought at Half Price Books yesterday. These are flicks that are likely in the public domain or just never warranted a release by themselves, movies from the 1950's to the 1980's, low-budget stuff. Of course, I love them.

My favorite so far has been Devil Times Five, which was one of the reasons why I bought it. It's a movie I remember watching from Commander USA's Groovy Movies. This movie is about five psychotic kids who end up on the loose after their hospital bus crashes. They end up finding a group of adults at a snowed-in lodge where they eventually start killing. The movie stars a lot of 70's TV actors, like Sorrell Booke (TV's Boss Hogg) and a pre-pubescent Leif Garrett, along with a young Shelley Morrison (Rosario from "Will & Grace"). The movie was pure 70's and loved it.

The best movie today was District B13, which was my latest Netflix arrival. Set in the ghettos of Paris in 2010, an undercover cop and ex-thug try to infiltrate a gang in order to defuse a neutron bomb. Lots of action and some fight scenes that would make Jackie Chan drool. I may have to buy that one.

Okay, I'm sick and tired.. bed time..

Hugs at ya, but no kissing (I'm doing fine so far this week and don't need a cold right now). :)

Get well soon.
