Bears On the Run

I went to a performance of Bears on the Run. In attendance was chrisglass, visiting mikiedoggie, and cubtharsis, along with several more gay and straight folks.

The show was awesome, performed at a great coffeehouse called "Zen and After," where the coffee was excellent and so was the staff. It was a very intimate evening of entertainment. Comedy by bobaloo was hilarious, I bought both the CD and DVD. Musical performances by Jeff (I don't remember his last name, but he's a local guy), Elijah Black (OMG! I was melting at the sight of this guy! So handsome...), Shannon Grady (a shy and cute bear), Kendall (hot muscled furry cub), and Matthew Temple (sweet blues playing daddy bear) filled up the evening.

The show travels to Columbus tomorrow, playing at Tradewinds, so I recommend any Columbus folks go and support the bears. After the show, I bought all my CD's and DVD's (all autographed) and was hugged and smooched by all the performers! We all went to the Serpent afterwards. New bartender Tim is a beautiful bear! I finally got worn out by the long day and Mike and I headed back to my house. The Bears on the Run guys and cubtharsis stayed to close out the evening.

I didn't take my camera, but Mike and Chris both took many MANY photos so I'm sure they'll be sharing soon. Sorry this entry is so disjointed but I'm beat... :)

To round out our conversation, here is a definition to a phrase I used (just in case you were wondering) ;-)

I had a blast last night. Made it home in an hour, just enough time to fall directly into bed. Where have the days gone where I could close down a bar?

I am lame.

LOL.. I was wondering about that phrase and I was going to look it up there sometime today. Thanks for the reference :D

We're lame along with you. Mike and I stayed for a bit at the Serpent, but were beat too! We're not 21 anymore (thank heavens!).

Hmmm...I'm lame too, even though I stayed until closing time.

I just wanted to be included in the lame train, though with no friends there the Serpent does seem to take a different turn...

Oh and wheres the new guy tip about making eye contact with someone at the Serpent means it's OK to be groped by them (if I'd have known that I would have looked right into Kendall's eyes)...good looking out buddies, Gesh!

LOL... I feel bad exiting and leaving you there, but you seemed to be in good company with the guys from the concert. It's not so scary really, just keep your wits about you :)
