kybearfuzzEvery year each department in my office has a food day as we get near our office Holiday Party. I usually stop by Krispy Kreme and get a few dozen diet-wreckers for the office like I did this morning. And I seem to pick up an annoying trend.
Why is it that when people are buying a dozen donuts or bagels for the office they feel the need to select the flavors/types themselves rather than just asking for an assortment? This morning at Krispy Kreme, this guy in front of me bought two dozen assorted donuts and hand-picked every one of them. It's not like he's going to eat them all himself and it holds up the line (or more importantly me!). I've seen this at Panera Bread as well. Nothing irritates me more than to see some frizzy-headed, middle-aged woman in stretch pants picking out three dozen bagels for her office at 6:30 AM.
Just a bizarre observation. Me? I just tell them to mix them up, because everyone's favorite bagel or donut is a free one.
