The Garbage Truck Eateth..
Good-bye Old Couch

After spending most of yesterday cleaning carpets and dragging furniture around, the furniture store guys actually arrived a 1/2 hour early. I nearly left for the grocery before, but glad I didn't. Not really bearish guys, so no pics.

When they brought in the first piece, I thought it was the sofa. No, it was the loveseat! Geez, they didn't look this big in the showroom. I spent the rest of the afternoon (so far) rearranging furniture trying to get the room to look right as the couch and loveseat take up more room than I originally thought. I finally got an arrangement I liked. The picture is large, so it's behind the cut.

The Living Room From Above

The cats have found favorite spots already. The pieces were so large, I actually had to take the feet off of the couch and loveseat to get them to sit the right height (they added like 3 inches). I have bought some new framed art to put up, but I lack the motivation for today. The new couches are comfy though.

The sad part hit me when the garbage truck above arrived to pick up the old couch. I wondered how they were going to get the big couch into the garbage truck. The truck literally ate the couch. I could hear it just crunching away as the frame broke. It was kinda shocking really... and yet a bit cool.

So you snugglers can show up at any time now .. :)

I should have taken a tape measure with me, but I didn't as they looked different in the show room. I often wonder if the display models are the same size as the ones purchased.

LOL... and I have the same motto as the couch, "Do you want to snuggle on me?"
