Spring Colors

While I was home for the nephew's birthday in early April, I was seeing how really vibrant the colors were becoming on the trees and plants. A warm week had started things blooming a bit early. I thought about putting together the rainbow collage above with pictures from Spring colors for fun. I snapped a few pics here and there, but realized that certain colors were escpaing me. Orange is more of a fall color and nothing really struck me as "blue"...

Today after mowing the yard finally (yay, the mower still lives and works), I looked up and was reminded as any school kid knows, that the sky is blue.. and it is a nice (almost) clear day. So I got my camera out and snapped some pics of the sky, the leaves, etc. I was still lacking an orange color, until Murphy the cat decided that the smells of the outdoors demanded his attention and escaped through the front door as I was going in, despite my best effort to catch him. It hit me that he's been dying to get out more and more since Spring arrived. So while he sniffed the flowers, I took his picture. Spring has been causing the flowers and leaves to appear.. and my cat to go a little bonkers... so he became my orange color above. :)

That's a fun thing to do with photos!

Oh ... and I should report to you that my mother was NOT shocked by the Red Light District. Much to my disappointment. Guess she and I are BOTH jaded. ;)
