Lazy New Years Day
Jan. 1st, 2007 08:26 pmAfter a great evening at the party thrown by one of my softball buddies and his partner, I made it home about 2 AM. I didn't get up until around 11 AM, although I was woken up briefly around 10 AM by a hazy phone call from the twin wishing me a happy new year. I had some pretty weird dreams, but unfortunately I didn't write anything down to recall it better.
I ended up napping a bit later for a couple of more hours, not sleeping off any alcohol, but just tired from the late night. This time I was awakened by a phone call from the Toyota dealership. I had submitted an internet quote for the Corolla. The guy seemed to be somewhat bitter to be working on New Years, but offered me the blue Corolla I'd driven for $16,018. The cost of the car from the day before was $17,195. The TMV value from Edmunds was $16,107. So yesterday's goof may have been a good thing.
No real resolutions to make this year. Some things I'd like, such as finding a guy of my own, have too many random elements involved outside my own efforts. As for losing weight and going to the gym, that is just a matter of doing really. I'm content to see what changes the year brings as it comes.
