Ugh! For those who live in larger cities, traffic jams are a commonplace thing, but in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, I don't expect them that often. The drive in this morning was one of those rare "Why are we sitting here?" drives. Apparently, a tractor trailer decided to take the "cut in the hill" too fast and tipped over blocking two of the three northbound lanes of the highway. My 20 minute drive to work turned into a 1 hour 40 minute tour of Northern Kentucky as I wound through the back roads to get to the office! All of my known shortcuts were taken up by everyone else who had figured them out. Ugh again! Nothing like being late to work.

And the ditzy secretary with a foghorn voice made the mistake of saying "Good Morning, Mark" to me....

AGAIN??? You'd think they have posted enough signs around that damned cut in the hill that people know by now. Especially during rush hour and Especially when it's raining.

I know! Ugh... don't get me started! Apparently, they'll give a driver's license to anyone with a pulse.

I was lucky to see the news and steer clear of that, but I did have to drive past it a little bit to get to Covington for jury duty. There was a photographer standing ON THE MEDIAN, the THREE FOOT HIGH, SIX INCH WIDE MEDIAN between northbound and southbound lanes to take pictures!

I don't know whether he should be praised for his commitment to his work or chastised for his sheer idiocy! I'm glad somebody managed to avoid the traffic jam this morning.
