Dead Like Me and the Gym

Ugh... I enjoy the gym, really I do. The cardio cinema is fun and there is usually an abundance of muscular and/or burly eye candy to both motivate and tantalize. However, it makes me want to sleep very deeply, which is not so great in the early morning hours.

While crashing on the couch last night drawing, I watched more of the second season of Dead Like Me. As I'm getting more and more into the show, I wish it had stuck around a bit longer, I'm finding it very refreshing. I'll be sad when I get to the last episode, but all good things get canceled I suppose. It does bug me that this show got reaped, but shows like The Flava of Love continue on television.

Here's one of my favorite lines from the show, as George who works for a temping agency is trying to explain proper business attire to a temp over the phone:

Hi, Lydia. You've temped for them before. There's a dress code and your skirt needs to actually cover your ass... I don't care where your tattoo is, you cannot show crack at the office.

Well.. you convinced me now.. i will go later to the gym... no good eyecandy like in yours... but i will work out a bit the stress of these past days! wanna come to the static bike? :)

I'm surprised there wasn't some kind of campaign to save it, it strikes me as the kind of show that would have garnered a cult following. I wonder if it being on Showtime had something to do with it.

i'm really surprised showtime cancelled it. the L-word sucks as did queer as folk. weeds sucks too, but i think that's on hbo

I have HBO, but I rarely watch it. I sort of hope that Dead Like Me garners a lot of popularity on the Sci-Fi Channel. It would be nice if it could come back. I doubt it will happen, but .. always hope...

I have five whole episodes left of the second season to watch. I'm having to actually ration them, as I have been watching two or three a night. I'll hate to watch the last one knowing there aren't any more :)
