John Tucker Must Die

Brian (cincycub) and I took in a matinee of John Tucker Must Die. There is nothing like a catty girl-revenge-on-boy movie to spice up a Saturday.

High school basketball/BMOC John Tucker is secretly dating three girls -- the head cheerleader, she who will be voted "Most Likely to Succeed," and the local Greenpeace girl. When they all find out during a volleyball game that they are all seeing him, all hell breaks loose. The three jilted girls and the new girl at school come together to plot revenge. It was fluff, but it was entertaining fluff. Also in the cast was Jenny McCarthy as Kate's (the new girl) mother. I love Jenny McCarthy, she should have gotten more screen time.

After the movie, I came home and did two hours of yard work. Soooooo tired..., but I did get to enjoy the CMC CD that I bought. Hugs to Brian for bringing it to me :)

Did I enjoy the movie? Very much so.
Would I see it again? Possibly.
Will I buy the DVD? Eh, not something I could see me buying...

I thought parts of the movie were great, but the ending seemed somewhat anti-climactic didn't you think?

I was expecting something a bit more life-changing for Mr. Tucker, but I'm happy that Kate ended up with you-know-who.

Cool! I'm glad this sounds like a good one. We like Arielle Kebbel (the blonde who was in American Pie presents Band Camp) so we want to see this.

She does a great job, I recognize her from her role on Gilmore Girls as Dean's wife. Now that Dean has moved on to another series, I guess we wont be seeing her there anymore :(
