The End of Class and the Ride Home
Jul. 14th, 2006 09:06 pmThe class ended today. Mine was the only presentation left to go over. There were a few screw-ups on my part, but overall it went well. I even got applause from the class for the cartoons I did for the presentation (and I was the only instructor to get applause!) I read some of the evaluation comments after the class left. Most were positive. It really made me feel good.

Increasing my vocabulary while riding the Metro
As I was riding the Metro to get to Reagan National Airport, I saw this definition sign and had to take a photo. It's a good gimmick.
There were a few things that happened this week that I wanted to note.
I was happy to get home to my nice air-conditioned house. I plan on sleeping late tomorrow.
Increasing my vocabulary while riding the Metro
As I was riding the Metro to get to Reagan National Airport, I saw this definition sign and had to take a photo. It's a good gimmick.
There were a few things that happened this week that I wanted to note.
- I visited Lambda Rising while I was at Dupont Circle. I love that bookstore. Of course, I had to check out the comic book rack there. I found two comics by a French artist named Logan and bought two comics of his, Porky and The Pornomicon (NWS!!!) The artwork is very impressive, the stories are very erotic, and it's full of bears.
- The ride home from class on the Metro was interesting. Three young black women got on board, one in a business suit, one dressed like the girl-next-door, and one in nurse scrubs. The nurse was telling her friends about her husband or boyfriend cheating on her with one of his co-workers. It was a story full of pure attitude. Apparently, the BF has knocked up the mistress and the Nurse is looking for some revenge. Among the things she stated she'd do -- sugar in his gas tank, flattening his tires, running up his credit cards, and changing bank accounts after withdrawing all the money. After each threat, she added the statement "but I'm not mad." There was much laughing and I had to fight to keep from smiling myself at how comical it was. I'm glad I'm not him!
- Furry early morning joggers observed on the morning walk to the Metro... YUM!
I was happy to get home to my nice air-conditioned house. I plan on sleeping late tomorrow.
