The New Year Rolling In

I spent the better part of the New Year's Eve hanging out with aceofspace at my sister's house. It was low-key and, just watching the Monty Python's Flying Circus marathon on BBC America and cutting up with my sister. He and I went back to his folks' house for a bit and then I left, being careful not to speed as the local fuzz was out in force.

I made it back to my sister's with a pizza in hand and crashed watching more Monty Python and pigging out. My sister and her hubby went to a friend's party, where he drank beer and my sister did Tequila. I went to bed a little after midnight, only to be awakened by the twin calling. I snapped at him, with my being half-asleep, I feel bad about that. I was awakened even later by my very sweet, giggling and inebriated sister wishing me a slurred "Happie Newww Yerrr!" and telling me she loved me.

After visiting Mom and having lunch with aceofspace, I drove home and am happy to be back in my surroundings again. High speed internet is so nice.. sigh...
