Root Canal Aftermath
Oct. 29th, 2003 01:18 pmWell, I'm back from having my root canal done. I'm impressed how far dentistry has come. I've heard horror stories from older cousins and uncles about it taking days to recover and being on potent pain medications. My root canal was relatively painless, but now that the numbness is wearing off, it's more like a dull, occasionally throbbing, ache.
I'm pretty thankful for that considering the crippling pain, gauze filled mouth, and oozing sore alternative. I admit, the $725 I shelled out hurt more I think. The good news is that I got to see "Legally Blonde" while the dentist rooted around in the mouth. Not a bad flick.
I debated on actually going to the office this afternoon, but the ache is distracting and I think a nap will do me some good, especially after a couple of tylenol.
