Non-Actor TV Bears
Dec. 21st, 2005 12:31 amI don't usually watch popular TV. If you ask me about "Lost," "American Idol," or "Desperate Housewives," you'll likely get a blank stare from me. It's not that these shows aren't good, I just never found that much interest in them. I watch a lot of the forensic science programs on A&E, animal shows on Animal Planet, goofy stuff on Spike TV, and other cable channels. I've found a lot of attractive bear types watching these programs. I put their pictures and whatnot behind the cut. All pics are work-safe.

Billy Mays Hawking OxyClean
Who hasn't seen this guy on TV? Billy Mays and his fast talking has sold tons of OxyClean products. I do wish he'd quit coloring his beard, the graying is attractive in my opinion.

Joel Silverman, former host of "Good Dog U"
Joel Silverman is a very handsome, soft-spoken veterinarian who hosted "Good Dog U" on Animal Planet. Always giving tips to how to train your puppy from peeing on the rug and behaving correctly, I enjoyed watching the show. Dr. Silverman also had really huge arms, it was pretty obvious he worked out regularly. I remember him doing a commercial for a heart-worm medication or something later on.

Rusty Haight, Crash Reconstructionist
In one of the many forensic science shows, Rusty Haight was involved the crash reconstruction of a murder. His job is literally to crash cars and analyze the impact data. It's a pretty neat occupation. He's not bad to look at either :)

Neal Haskell, Forensic Entymologist"
Neal Haskell has been shown on "Forensic Files" often. As a Forensic Entymologist, he studies the insects associated with dead bodies, using their reproductive cycles to help estimate the time of death when conventional means will not work. He is a biology professor and a very sought after expert witness. He's also a very nice looking daddy bear....

Mark D'Amato, NY Enforcers Captain
Last, but not the least, is Mark D'Amato. When Spike TV ran "RollerJam" back some years ago, one of the teams was the NY Enforcers, led by this very gruff, very muscular guy. It was basically wrestling on roller skates, but it was very enjoyable, seeing the muscular guys wear tight outfits and the beautiful ladies beating the crap out of each other. Sadly, the burly D'Amato passed away from cancer a year or so after "RollerJam" was canceled.
Well, that's it! I'll have to post something of more substance later. I head to my hometown Wednesday morning for the week. Given my last trip home and the limited internet access, I may not be online too much until I get back.

Jim Murray, Animal Scientist
I found Dr. Murray's photo in a USA Today article about genetically engineered dairy goats in California. That beard just caught my attention.

Kevin Stadler, Golfer
My brother watches the Golf Channel religiously. It bores me to absolute tears, to see the golfer hit the little ball and the crowd does that whole polite clapping thing. There is just no excitement to it for me. If you enjoy it, my apologies. One of the few things on the Golf Channel to catch my attention is the very yummy Kevin Stadler, a professional golfer. I don't really know anything about him, other than he's a second generation golfer and his dad is a very burly daddy bear.

Roger Hazard, Designer/Stager
Roger Hazard is obviously no stranger to most bear fans, being the co-host on "Sell This House." The heavily muscled Hazard does more than move the furniture, he stages and redecorates a person's home to get it to sell. And he does it pretty well too. I admit I would love to have arms and a chest like his.

Date: 2005-12-21 01:55 pm (UTC)There was one I didn't add, the post was getting kind of long... Paul James, the goofy host of "Gardening By The Yard," who has that really thick black mustache and very furry chest. Oh he makes me swoon...

Date: 2005-12-21 02:41 pm (UTC)Mike Holmes from the show Holmes on Homes. I think this one's Canadian though, so you might not get his show in your neck of the woods.
Rob Feenie has his own show on FoodTV. He looks a bit too "pretty" sometimes, but I wouldn't stop him from showing me a few tricks in the kitchen...
Michael Smith - The Inn Chef. I'm not really a big fan of his show, but he's not a bad looker.
