Our First Big Snow Fall....
Dec. 8th, 2005 06:32 pmI just got a call from
mikiedoggie. He's about 45 minutes north of Indianapolis. He left about 1 PM today, so he's been on the road for quite a while. I told him about the weather here and he may stay in Indianapolis tonight.
The drive home was typical Cincinnati snow driving... accidents anywhere and very slow driving. My 20 mile drive home from work took 2 1/2 hours. There were some scary moments, the hill on my way to my neighborhood is pretty steep and I was heading up the hill. I'm spiritual, but not terribly religious, but I was thanking God for getting me up that hill.
So I'm now in my sweats and enjoying the warmth. I heard this weird vacuuming noise outside my house. I opened the door to find my neighbor using his snowblower to clear my driveway. He was doing it because he wanted to make sure I could get to work tomorrow. And he continued to do it even after I told him I was on leave Friday. A great guy :)
