Getting Back My Groove
May. 9th, 2013 07:30 amAt least in the workout arena.
Since my health issues in February, I've been fighting to get myself back into a workout routine. It's not easy to re-establish a habit like that, especially when my stamina isn't back to normal yet. The one, however, will help the other.
Yesterday, after work I changed and went to the local park to see how many laps I could do. It's a 0.4 mile running/walking trail around the park. Before all the issues started, I was up to a routine four miles, with the occasional six miles when the mood hit. The sun was out (mostly) and the temps were good, so my goal was to do a 5K, or 3.2 miles.
I struggled a bit, but managed to finish. As I was walking around to cool off, I got my iPhone out to take a grainy post-run photo or two. They're behind the cut.

As the warm weather keeps up, I'm hoping to rebuild my stamina to get ready for a 5K in July.
Happy Thursday!
