Softball, Ties, and Other Things
Jul. 25th, 2012 08:20 amDespite the crappy morning weather yesterday, softball went on as scheduled last night. The fields were fine, which shows how spotty the rain has been around the area.
We got beat last night by two runs, despite having a six run lead after the first inning. I had some decent hits, but still nothing like I hit last year and that bugs me. And the night would have been better if I hadn't made the last out of the game (BOOO!) Softball only has three more nights to go before the season ends and it always makes me sad, especially since there is so much warm weather left to play through.
However, I was approached by a nice Lesbian couple who told me about a gay bowling league nearby that will be playing on Thursday nights, so that might be something to fill in the activity gap. I've never been a great bowler, but then I've never been a great softball player either and it's still fun.
I got home after the game last night to find my telephone and internet were out (Second BOOO!). I called the phone company via my iPhone and was told there was a neighborhood outage. It was still out this morning.
I'm sporting one of my newer ties this morning. I'm actually very surprised that I have so many ties to fill out this month. It shows how much stuff can accumulate over the years. I posted these photos to my Flickr stream and noted that almost all of the pics from the last month are of me. Is that vain, or do I need to just get out and take more photos of other things.
Okay, enough stream of consciousness writing.
Happy Hump Day!
