I forgot to take a FYFF pic for today, so I'll have to owe on that one.
Last night when I got home, I had a package in my mailbox. It was the first season of Popular that I ordered from Amazon Marketplace. I loved this show when it aired (back in199-2001 1999-2001... wow... can't believe it's been so long). It was so crazy and so over the top. The unpopular kids were likable, the popular kids were nasty and horrible (for the most part). It hit the right note with me. Watching the weekly antics of Mary Cherry was the best.
The creator of the series is the same who is doing Glee now. I see a few familiar faces guest-starring, like Jane Lynch. I broke the new purchase in watching the episode where the new Assistant Principal shows up, a hottie that all the Glamazons want to pursue. During his Tai Chi morning class, the three Glamazons march in to the beat of "I See You Baby (Shakin' that @$$)." Best of all Mary Cherry is dressed in full Japanese kimono with a wig with that stupid grin on her face. Classic.
I couldn't find that scene on YouTube, but here's another that's pretty good. Not embedded as the work seems to block that stuff.
