Internet Woes in Portugal
Sep. 20th, 2009 11:04 amApparently I made a hasty praise of the hotel and their internet access. When I got on the computer in my room when I first arrived, the system had not reset and allowed me some free access. They reset it last night and it´s a pay system. It´s a complete ripoff, charging 17 Euro (about 23 bucks) for 24 consecutive hours of access. That includes the eight hours you sleep, the eight I´ll be working and the hours for tourist stuff, exercise, bathing, etc. So it´s actually for probably two or three hours of evening access and that is just criminal. I´m using the free service downstairs, but I can´t upload pics or stay on too long. Boo!
On a good note, I did a three mile run this morning along the Tejo River here near the hotel. It was beautiful and so was the eye candy. I swear I passed a handsome muscular bear who looked just like
mondragon. Too bad I couldn´t run and take photos at the same time!
Okay, off to lunch and touristy stuff.
