The weekend in bullets ---
- Saturday was the monthly Cincinnati Movie Bears outing. My buddy Mark drove down from Indianapolis to hang out and go with me. We went to see The Heartbreak Kid. It wasn't a bad movie, some funny parts, but it was a bit long and the funny bits became few and far between after a while, not something I'd buy or see again. There was a good turnout though, about 16 I think. The group ventured through the food booths at the Levee and split up on dinner destinations.
- Sunday was relaxing. I watched Inside Deep Throat from Netflix. A very interesting documentary about the 1972 film and the uproar and changes in the law that came from its popularity. While it has some racy scenes, the documentary really does a fine job describing its social impact. I've always thought that Harry Reems was cute, but had no idea he had been on trial for "conspiracy" by the government.
- I decided to switch from one documentary to another. I bought the first season of Meerkat Manor on DVD. I've been watching this dramatized documentary of a meerkat study on Animal Planet and found it to be really entertaining. The family dynamics of a meerkat group are interesting to watch, and the pups are adorable.
- Off today.. not much going on, reading "Marvel Zombies" again... maybe drawing some... who knows...
