Ah, Rob, I hardly knew ye....
Sep. 23rd, 2005 06:20 amLast month I had a really good date with a very cute and very sweet guy named Rob in Shelbyville, KY. He's the one with the amazing farm house and the "porn star" body. He was supposed to come up to my place the week after our first date, but I caught that summer cold and had to cancel on him.
Things got busy at work, including me having to do some local road trips, and I lost track of Rob. He was going through a lot at the time -- he'd been let go from his job, he was interviewing for new jobs, he'd gotten a new puppy, etc. He was in the running for a job in the Cincinnati area, which made me somewhat hopeful.
I called Rob last night to check up on him and caught him in Tucson, AZ, where he'd accepted a new position there. He sounds in good spirits as I know the job issue was worrying him a bit (he's actually in high demand). I apologized for not keeping in touch with him, but told him I was happy that he'd landed the new job. He's back in KY for another week or so while he gets his house in order. He's selling that beautiful house. Oh, if I won the lottery, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Sigh... the good ones are so far away (the men, not necessarily the houses). Rob is a good, decent and handsome man and I think will make someone a great partner. If I knew of any deserving guys in Tucson, I'd play matchmaker.
