The Circus at Wal-Mart
Aug. 31st, 2004 11:06 amI had to run to Wal-Mart last night to get some pictures blown up for an upcoming retirement party. While waiting in line to use the Kodak Picture Maker, I saw some pretty odd folks walking around. I should be used to that, but Wal-Mart always surprises me with new customers who far outweigh the ones you thought were unsurpassably strange.
The Kodak Picture Maker isn't rocket science, but it confuses the heck out of folks. I strain to maintain my composure at the lady who hits the same button repeatedly hoping for a different result. On occassion I have stepped up to help, but some people get offended. Eventually, I got the machine to myself and made the copies.
As I was checking out at the photo desk, I see this mother and son, the latter is about 17 and resembles Napoleon Dynamite -- frizzy hair, glasses, body of a 12 year old. He's wearing a shirt that says "Take me for a ride." I bust out laughing in the store as I think to my self, "No Way in Hell..."
Damn, I am mean sometimes...
