Feeling Awful

I'm not sure what is going on. I felt pretty good yesterday, saw The Manchurian Candidate with cincycub and booboobob and had a good time. I got home and didn't feel bad or anything, mowed the yard and dealt with a few mole tunnels in the flower bed.

I woke up this morning in chills, I could not get warm. I was actually shivering when I got out of bed. My eyes were burning, I had a headache, my stomach was queasy, and the diarrhea this morning was horrid (I know, TMI!). I seriously thought of calling in sick, but I've been out of the office for three weeks and REALLY needed to get some things cleared out of my desk.

After a 1/2 hour HOT shower, I finally managed to dress and trudge my way out the door and to the office. My head still hurts and I'm groggy as heck. I hate to say it, but it feels like food poisoning. Damn...

Feeling better

Thankfully, whatever hit me this morning seems to have passed (quite literally). I managed to stick it out at work most of the day, but decided to leave a half hour early. The last symptom was my being very sleepy, so I napped as soon as I got home.

I got up at 7 PM, feeling pretty good now, a little congested, but okay. Dinner was beef roast with broccoli and cheddar cheese. Yum.. and I was hungry!

Some good news, I got a $100 gift certificate at work at Amazon.com. Added to the other one I got that I hadn't spent yet, I went on a DVD shopping spree tonight. The following goodies are headed my way: Gilmore Girls, Season One; Batman, the Animated Series; Ab Fab, Seasons 1-5 and the Last Shout. I'm looking forward to getting those.
