Today was long. I got up at 4:30 AM, hit the snooze until 5 AM, was dressed and on the bus at 6:15 AM. Today was field trip day. We went to tour a company some 2.5 hours away from here. The tour was pretty good, very interesting, and even got to see the radioactive source the company uses to sterilize product (safely submerged in 25 feet of water). It glows blue in the water. Pretty colors make Mark happy.
The ride back was long due to traffic and strangely the coordinator for the course sat next to me. I didn't speak to him the whole way. My mom says I have an intimidating personality, that sometimes my disdain for people can sometimes radiate from me without saying a word. In this instance... good! His arrogance is unnerving and I was too tired to play the pleasant student.
After we got back, around 7 PM, I called another Bear411 buddy, Billy. Not the Bill I chatted with the other night, but a brand new Billy, with whom I've never chatted with before. He's 6'3", 290 lbs, very kind eyes and cute. He's also a scientist, so we work in related fields. We did the Cheesecake Factory for dinner (they have a low carb cheesecake... heavenly!). We had some good conversation, never lacking for a topic to talk about. I like him, and he wasn't a serial killer thankfully ;) He asked me to go to brunch on Sunday.
Well, I'm going to try to do laundry tonight here at the hotel and then hit the hay. Sleeping in tomorrow will be soooooo good!!!!
