Friday Again!
Dec. 26th, 2003 06:13 pmWell, the Christmas vacation is nearly over, and I'm looking forward to getting home tomorrow. I've missed my house and the pets and sleeping in my own bed. Amazing how you take the little things for granted. And I need to post something for
mat_t, so to alleviate some of his boredom, although I'm sure he's off work by now. :)
Went to see Steve Martin's new flick, "Cheaper by the Dozen," and I thought it was great, a nice family movie that was still full of comedy. There were several times that I was laughing out loud. Steve Martin is still one of the best actors around, not many people could do what he does. No spoilers though. I went to see it by myself. My best friend who is also here for the holidays went to a Bluegrass music get-together with his parents, my sister was conked out on the couch from the morning hijinks, and my brother was enamored with his "Legend of Bagger Vance" DVD that Mom got him for Christmas. Ah well, my microbiology professor once told me that if you wait for someone to be available to go out and do things, you'll miss a lot of stuff worth seeing. I've taken that to heart. Still, it was a good movie.
Long day tomorrow -- driving home, dropping off luggage and presents, taking my brother's CD-R drive back to the store (after I pick up the receipt), and then crashing for the rest of the night. Not a bad Saturday I guess....
