My Aunt Ruth...

kybearfuzz.. is likely the craziest person in my family. She's my mom's youngest sister and is the same age as my older brothers. The generations in my family tend to overlap somewhat. She always tells the best stories and can make the mundane absolutely hilarious. I was chatting with a co-worker this morning and I remembered this tale I thought I'd share.
My aunt works at JCPenney, her job is to design the store displays and promotional ads. One day she was putting a display together and had a teenage part-timer helping her. They had to go get some manikins from the storeroom, but because of the design of the store, they had to go around the building with a flat cart to the back and then take the loaded cart back through the front doors.
My aunt loaded four naked torso parts on the cart, with the butts sticking up, and told the kid to wheel them around front through the store. The teenager was embarrassed at the idea and asked her, "what do I tell people when they see me pulling these naked butts through the store?"
My aunt in standard form replied, "Just tell them the truth. Tell them you're 'Haulin' Ass!'"

Date: 2005-09-02 05:22 pm (UTC)My aunt is very funny, we went to Applebee's for dinner one night, the two of us and my brother and sister, and she tortured this poor college student all night by flirting with him (she's about 20 years older than the poor boy). When it was time to leave his tip, she waited until he showed up and had stuck the money in her cleavage (she was wearing a low cut blouse) and asked the guy to go after it. He turned five shades of red and she gave him an extra five bucks for the laugh.
