I'm not dead, I'm only resting....

I awoke this morning after much sleep last night to a feeling (or rather lack of feeling) I have missed this past week. A morning where my throat didn't feel like I'd tried gargling broken glass every time I swallowed. Could it be that I'm finally free of the dreaded sinus infection???? Except for some drainage and popping in my ears, I feel great!

Now I have to attack the volumes of work that have waited patiently for me to either kick off or get well enough to handle them. Strange as it may sound, I'm actually happy to be at work. Another few days wandering around the house in my PJ's and I'd have lost my marbles. Thanks to all the 411 folks and LJ buddies who kept me occupied online while I was just resting after a prolonged squawk ;)

On a side note, I was watching Family Guy last night on Cartoon Network, the episode where Lois becomes a kleptomaniac, and thought the sequence where Chris gets drawn into the A-Ha video of "Take on Me" was hilarious! The artists did a great job blending Chris into the cartooned video. Poor Chris...

Yeah, that particular bit of animation is inspired. It took me a while to make the connection, but when did, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yay for TiVo and instant replay :) I'm glad to hear you're back at work although I like the thought of you padding around the house in your PJs. Try it sometime when you're not feeling like you've been gargling glass. It's quite decadent. :)

I honestly believe that Family Guy is part of the reason I'm still alive today. My ideal vacation would be 1) complete silence, 2) nudity or pajamatization, and 3) Family Guy. So I'm sort of envying you right now.
