Well, I finished my work yesterday, so I'll be spending the rest of the week working on my reports and doing some odds and ends (laundry, etc.). Everyone in town keeps telling me to go to Tall Ships, which is an international boat race where large sailing ships from around the world are congregating in Waterford. They say about 250,000 people or more will be there. I hate to say it, but it doesn't interest me in the least. Everyone here is so excited, but from what I've seen from the news, it just looks like a bunch of boats in the water. It's not like they are historical vessels or anything, so the appeal just isn't there. I may take a taxi and see some of the more local stuff.

Earlier I had mentioned that I hadn't seen any bears here, except for the two American ones the other day. Well, I found out where they hide -- the hotel swimming pool after 7 PM (when it's adults only). I went to the pool last night to unwind, had to buy a swimming cap (a bathing cap, it's mandatory -- they don't allow cameras in the pool area, I was happy to say at the time), and went into the locker room. While changing, the mustachioed man from the library bar the other night was in there, totally naked and covered, front and back, in fur! Oh, suddenly the lack of camera usage was a bad thing! He was incredible looking, great body and just HHAAAWWWTTT (insert school girl drool)! Now I know what that chick who was sliding her hand inside his shirt was doing the other night, she was playing with the chest fur! Lucky lady!

He was on his way out, darn it, so I went to the pool, bathing cap on and looking incredibly dorky, but at least I didn't stand out from anyone else. I then noticed all of the hairy backed men swimming by in the pool. Was I dreaming? No! Although, I was squinting from lack of glasses. Furry guys of every size, muscular, thin, and stocky were swimming past me. I kept thinking if the bathing caps were supposed to keep the hair in the pool down to a minimum, it wasn't working with this crew. I'm sure body hair was clogging the filters last night.

After enjoying the waterfalls and forceful area jets that would make any bottom bear never need a top again, I settled into the jacuzzi to relax. A red-furred, local bear joined me there and we started talking about things -- housing prices, tourist stuff, etc. He wasn't family, but he was good company, a very interesting guy.

I had wished that I had stopped by the pool before, but the few times I've passed by, it was full of overweight women in bathing caps, hardly worth the view in my book. Sigh... nice to know there are some good looking men in the hotel.

Now I guess I need to see what I can get into. Today is the halfway point of the trip, so it's all downhill from here.

I knew you'd find the bears over there, if there were any to be found!

Too bad about the no camera rule, though.

I know, the Library Bar bear could have been a model for 100% Beef!

Even if you don't have pictures, you at least have your memories! Just a little harder to share in detail with us.

Oh, well.
