Typical Irish Weather Returns

Sigh... Everyone told me that the weather in the Ireland for the first few days I was here was atypical, now I am getting the usual weather.. rain.

It put a serious damper on the walking about here and there, but that's okay. Work has been busy and I've been pretty wiped out afterward. I hopefully will have some time tomorrow to head downtown and look about a bit more before I bus out for my next destination. From what I've heard from the locals, I have pretty much seen most of Limerick.

I head to New Ross, County Wexford next, which is a smaller town, but the smaller towns, I've found, have some really interesting histories. I have also heard they refer to the area as the sunny Southeast, so I'm hoping the weather may be better. I've been told that I may actually be close enough to get to the beach.

Well, if today's anything to go by, I'd say that old favourite "always take the weather with you" should not apply. As for the beach, well, Windscale nuclear power station is just across the Irish Sea, so if you see any bathers glowing, take heed. Of course that needn't prevent you stripping to the waist...

Just to support the others, I have to point out that once the temperature hits 20C, sunbathing and going to the beach are serious options in Ireland!
So do as the locals do and strip off on the beach (but take pics to prove it!)

If weather in southeast ireland is anything like in southwestern england... I guess you'll have no tanning possibilities!

It has been particularly nasty, hasn't it? We've had two days of lightning storms here in Oxfordshire as well, with the power going out both nights. A marked difference from a couple of weeks ago, when it was overly sunny and in the 90s.

(I actually prefer this weather tho)
