A Night Out with the Boys

kybearfuzzIt was a pretty good night. To celebrate Derek's (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
_decibel_) birthday, a group of us met up with him and his guy Chris at Brio's at Newport. Among the crew, cincycub, cincy_dave, knepbear, mickeymac, and Aaron & Sean. The dinner was great, incredible in fact. We also enjoyed scoping out the cute waiters and patrons, ripping on the prom crowd (some ugly dresses were out tonight), and the general talking. Chris is a really cute, very nice and personable guy. Derek has latched on to a good one.
Afterward, Derek, Chris, Dave, Rob and I went to Hamburger Mary's. Parking was a pain as the police had a block closed off due to some nut threatening to shoot himself in his car. Never a dull moment here. Mary's hostess Joan was in full drag and Derek shot a pic of me and her together. I need to remind him to send the photo to me. I'm going to send it to my homophobic brother and tell him how much in love I am with Joan. I love yanking the twin's chain. Some cute guys were roaming around Mary's tonight. I enjoyed looking around.
Derek, Chris and I left Mary's and headed to Spurs. I didn't know they had the stage area in the back, shows you how often I go. There was a leatherman contest with drag queen entertainment. It's an odd mix, in my opinion. In the crowd weretheatrecub79 and shawnbc01. We went to the garage bar and had a beer or two and was joined by the ever cool chrisglass who was wearing his favorite new tee-shirt.
The barrage of dim lights, crowded areas, and loud music was a bit much for me, I'm not much of a bar guy, I guess. Seeing the guys in leather harnesses and leashes was odd, but the furry chested guys walking around was a nice sight. Derek, Chris and I left, Derek was a bit on the tipsy side, but I know Chris will take good care of him.
