Foreign Trip Update!

I just got off the phone with my trip planner in DC. She may have three weeks in Ireland for me!!!! *Does victory dance*

The trip would be in late June or early July likely and I may only get two weeks in Ireland and one somewhere else in Europe. Sorry, bleuvalentines, but she has nothing in Germany. I tried, I REALLY did!

... and no India for me!

After thinking about some of the personal questions I asked, I wondered if I might have overstepped my bounds a bit and just felt better to take them back.

well don't feel bad about putting them out there... I didn't. From what I remember, they were the kind of "deep inner me" questions that I had to think about, and formulate decent answers for. I couldn't just give you flip comments... the one I remember clearly was about some sexual fantasy... that would have been paragraphs at least, if not pages....

Wow, Mark! Three weeks in Ireland is VERY cool! I'm excited for you (but bummed that you won't be coming my way).

Of course, you could always take a couple of vacation days and hop a Ryan Air flight over to Frankfurt (crazy cheap intra-European flights!). ;)

Where in Ireland are you going to? June is actually the best month of the year to go - the weather is usually pretty nice, and it isn't totally full of tourists yet.

I'm jealous! I haven't even spent more than 10 days in Ireland in the last 3.5 years!

I'm not sure about my destinations yet, my trip planner hasn't told me the cities or towns yet. Sounds like I may be heading there during a good time of year though. Once I get the cities, I may ask for some recommendations from you on what to do, if that's okay.

It's a work thing, three weeks = three inspections over there. Luckily, my evenings and weekends will likely be free to tourist-type stuff.

Sounds pretty neat. A couple of friends of mine went on a full vacation tour of Ireland and Scotland last year. It sounded pretty cool.
