The weekend was pretty okay, nothing extraordinary in most respects. I spoke with my best friend Brian who lives in Colorado for an hour and a half last night. He just had surgery on his rotator cuff in his shoulder. Ouch! He's laid up for a couple of weeks as he can't do much with it. His mom flew out to help him for a while. At least he has good drugs to help ease the pain.

I finally bought my DVD's last night with my Amazon gift certificate. I ended up getting Eddie Izzard Dressed to Kill and Circle, after getting a good recommendation from [livejournal.com profile] bleuvalentines's friend Lara. I also bought a second copy of Stripperella, Season One, to give to my brother, who I think will get a kick out of it.

Work is a bit messed up. My boss told me to stay in on Monday as he and I needed to go over some stuff, but then he left for Louisville today, with a note on my desk saying we'd go over the paperwork tomorrow instead. Ugh! He's messed up my schedule for the week doing this.

Oh well.. as I've heard from so many.. the pay is the same.

LOL.. Oh I know.. so many things that are said that just sound so wrong. You should see the one where Stripperella has to stop the tank being driven by a monkey, too funny!

I'm sorry to hear about Brian. Is he able to check his email? (BTW, kudos on your taste in music today! Grant Lee Phillips is great!)

Yeah, Brian can check his mail with his laptop. He's got wireless access in the house. He'd love to hear from you, I'm sure.

And I've listened to Grant Lee Phillips on Gilmore Girls so much that I downloaded some of his stuff from iTunes last night. It's good, mellowing music. :)

Yeah, I'll drop Brian a line.

Yeah, that's where I first heard him too. Check out "Mona Lisa" sometime!

Ouch! Sorry about your friend. That's gotta hurt.

I watch Gilmore Girls and I even have the soundtrack, but I hadn't really paid much attention to Phillips. I will have to check it out. Recommend a cd?

I'm afraid I didn't download a whole CD, just a few selected songs I'd heard on the show. His Viriginia Creeper CD is supposed to be pretty good. I also listed to Sam Phillips (no relation to Grant), who is the music coordinator for the show. I downloaded a few of her songs too.

Thanks. I'll check out Virginia Creeper. Always looking for new cd's to add to the collection. There are a few Sam Phillips songs on the soundtrack.

Hope your brother enjoys Stripperella.
