Well, I'm working at home today, you have to love report writing.

At work, we often get gift certificates as awards instead of cash awards. It's fine with me, because they're set up to where you can get them just about anywhere and I usually pick Amazon.com because I can get them immediately.

So last week, I received a $100 gift certificate award, picked Amazon.com, and now am wondering what to get.

I've thought about getting a couple of Eddie Izzard comedy DVD's, but which are the better ones. I've not seen them all and I know some repeat material. Any suggestions from the peanut gallery (archaic kid's show reference) on which is the best?

Any other suggestions on what I might get?

How about this? Three birds, one stone. :) Actually, as I look closer at what Amazon has for Eddie, you could get pretty much all of Eddie's DVD's AND have ~$30 left over for other goodies. :)

Some other suggestions:
Wonderfalls series DVD set
Carnivale season one DVD set
Any Oz season (which is pretty much pr0n LOL)

Actually, as I read your post closer, you want to know which DVDs are recommended. I *think* the one I like is "Glorious". Whichever one has the Englebert Humperdink routine on it. :)

Lots of good selections you recommend. I think the Englebert Humperdink is on the one I have seen, Dress to Kill.

I also highly recommend Wonderfalls! We loved this show when it was on the air and we're quite happy that they released all the un-aired episodes on DVD.

Of course, there is the Brady Bunch that just got released too.

We also recently purchased the old ABC After School Specials on DVD. I got home and realized that I will buy just about anything.

And I love the pic with the pajama pants and bear slippers.

LOL.. you would have loved me yesterday, I wore the PJ's and slippers all day.

Wonderfalls may be on my list to get. Sadly, the Brady Bunch was never that big a show for me. My sister was the Brady fan. I did see the old ABC Afterschool Specials at Wal-Mart on DVD. That just struck me as so odd, like a foggy memory you can't seem to remember clearly.

I would love to get some of those late Saturday dramas that used to be on, I can't remember the name, but they would be based on children's stories, like "The Ghost of Mr. Kemp" and "Ms. Switch."

Actually, I'm more of a Gilligan's Island fan. But Rob is a huge Brady Bunch fan. Between the two of us, we keep Sherwood Schwartz in business!

A friend of Heather's

My name is Lara and I am a friend of Heather. I was checking out her Live Journal page and saw your post about Eddie Izzard. I am a big fan of his and have several of his dvds and cds. Dressed to Kill is by far my favorite, and comes with my highest recommendation. Circle is the latest and is filled with lots of new material. Most of it is about God. I come from a fairly sheltered, christian background and although I often saw why it was funny I had a hard time laughing at some of it. Glorious and Definite Article are great but have a lot of repeated material....still I'd go for definite article. Hope that helps.

LOL.. thanks for reading, Lara.

I think Dressed to Kill and Circle may be my next choices. I really like his humor. Sadly, so many can't get past his being a transvestite to enjoy it. Thanks for the help :)
