Monday, Monday.... and Random Things...
Feb. 28th, 2005 05:08 pmFirst, Happy Birthday to
cincycub! I'm envious of your big present coming :)
After a rather dull weekend, I almost enjoyed getting back to work. Part of me wished I had gone to my hometown for the weekend, but only because next weekend is supposed to be so ugly weather-wise. I did get a few cartoons drawn and scanned in for a future web page update and watched more 1960's horror movies. I never realized how ludicrous the beatnik movement looked.
I am happy that The Incredibles won an Oscar for Best Animated Picture.
Work went well today, I like productive days that don't involve me pulling my hair out or thinking about ways to knock off certain co-workers. There are ways to get them to mimic accidents.
While flipping through channels after getting home, I came across "Jim Rome is Burning" on ESPN. Not that I watch a lot of ESPN, sports were never my thing. With my chicken-on-roller-skates coordination ruining the playing sports for me, watching them live and/or on TV seemed rather boring. Over dinner not long ago, a friend asked me if I knew who Jim Rome was and was shocked that I did. Hey, I know a good looking guy when I see one, to which my friend rolled his eyes and continued the story. Rome is actually a very intelligent person, rather witty, and fun to watch (especially the latter). I caught a few minutes of his show, enjoyed them, especially with him ripping on Sean Penn for last night's lack of humor sense on the Oscars.
