I don't think it's you getting older, I think it's just a loss of respect for watching a movie on the part of some bratty kids. And they don't see the problem with talking in a movie, or text messaging, or being obnoxious.
If they came in after 45 minutes then I'll bet they didn't have tickets. I would have grabbed an usher and had them checked and then demanded my money back because you couldn't enjoy the flick. Most theaters I've been in no longer have ushers in the theater unless they've already had a problem, and sadly, they're mostly teenagers themselves.
It almost makes you want to NOT go to the movies. A friend of mine suggested that theaters should have "adults only" showings of popular movies, no matter the rating, to exclude the teenage brats that filter in and the screaming babies that have no business being in the movie in the first place. I wish they'd do it.
