Called Off ... Again/Brit Cleaners
Feb. 22nd, 2005 05:29 pmI've got to stop doing this. Even though I know I have tons and tons of leave, I can't keep calling in. I woke up in a funk, my head weighed 100 lbs and I was tired, after a weekend of doing relatively nothing. I went back to bed and woke up around 1:30 PM. I'm sleeping way too much. I think it's a mix of not feeling well and not enjoying work. Ordinarily, I would be the trooper and go on in, but today I couldn't muster the energy. I still have my headache. UGH!
In a post sleep haze, I ate lunch and watched a taped episode of "How Clean is Your House?" from Lifetime. I first encountered Kim and Aggie, two British ladies who go into a persons home and gasp in horror at the slobbery and clean up the house, while I was in England back in the Summer of 2003. It was new show there on Channel 4. The first show was the cleaning of a very cute, cubby science teacher named James Hayward (I looked his name up on the net). Kim, the mom-looking one, and Aggie, the heavier drag queen looking one, are fun to watch.
Speaking of drag queens, they were in Las Vegas cleaning the home of Dave AKA Empress Helen, a very frightening drag queen with a face like Tammy Faye. His/her house was a shambles, which makes me think it was staged. I can't imagine a gay man living in such squalor. Of course, I think it's often staged. Granted, my home looks nothing like his, but I couldn't let them in my home if it did.
I made a trip to Wal-Mart again for a decongestant and picked up Superman Season 1 (WB cartoon) and Stripperella Season 1 on DVD. I'm now going to veg and watch some animated stuff.
