The End of Jury Duty
Dec. 15th, 2004 11:04 amI slept in today, as I didn't have to get up early because of jury duty. I showed up there as usual only to find out that the case had pled out late the night before, too late for the judge and her staff to change the website and phone message. So we all reported and were dismissed. She did tell us that due to the holidays, this would be our last visit. Yep, thankfully I am finished. ** Does victory dance **
On my drive through Covington on my way to work, I passed a black man who was walking down the street with a pink floppy hat (with matching feather), a full-length gray and white fur coat, snakeskin boots, sunglasses and a cane. The look screamed "PIMP DADDY." It looked like something from a Chappelle Show skit. Rarely in my life have I ever wanted a camera so badly. If he's heading to court, I feel sorry for him, because no one is going to believe, judge or jury, that he's simply an honest businessman in that outfit!
