A Day with Mom

kybearfuzzI got up early, chatted for a bit, then back to bed. Around noon, I regained consciousness just in time for my mom to call from her in-law's house in Florence, KY. She had spent the night there and was calling to see if I wanted to go to the mall with her, my step-dad, and sister-in-law.
I ho-ed and hummed for a minute and said sure. Showered and dressed, I made my way over there. Mom's sister-in-law is Ida, aka the Queen of Misery (QOM). I have rarely met a more negative person. Her voice is shrill, much like that of an aged parrot. Mom seems to like her, not sure why.
A few hours of walking around the mall, finding out QOM's full family misery, and finally getting something to eat at the food court, we were finally done. Mom wanted me to come back to QOM's house, but I needed escape. My guess is that Mom does too. She and my stepdad are staying here tomorrow night and possibly Saturday, which fouls up a few things for me possibly. Oh well....
