Strange Dreams
Nov. 7th, 2004 08:35 amI'm typing this fast because I often forget my dreams once I'm fully awake. I am meeting some friends at a very odd house that has a computerized panel that allows each of us to enter using a secret password. I have a spiral notebook in my hands that I have jotted down super hero designs, plot ideas, and random cartoons (I do this in real life actually).
A friend named Rob from my childhood is looking through the notebook and memorizing things. He's unnaturally drawn to it for some reason. I'm socializing with everyone, but I'm keeping my eye on Rob, because I'm afraid of what he will do with the notebook. He's obsessing over the notebook, nervously and carefully looking at each page. I ask Rob to give me the notebook because I'm leaving and he just looks at me. He says that he really likes my notebook in a whiny kid's voice. Rob is my age. It really creeps me out for some reason.
I finally get the notebook and leave. This is where I become an observer in the dream, as though I'm watching a TV show, not a participant. The scene changes to my house and I'm not home. I have a shelf full of notebooks. Rob just appears out of no where, pale, naked, and has blackened eyes. He reminds me of the kid in The Grudge. He fawns over my notebooks, like the Golem in The Lord of the Rings. Another friend of mine shows up, and Rob sees him. He tells him he's sorry, but he can't be seen here, so his tongue shoots out from his mouth into my other friend's and kills him. Other people come into the room after they hear the shouting. Rob disappears, but leaves a trail of bloody foot prints as he "walks" away. After that I woke up, wondering if I should ever drink wine before bed again.

This is one of those dreams. ;)
