I had a blast yesterday. Eric ([livejournal.com profile] ericdabear) got in rather late Thursday night, so we both slept in on Friday morning. He and I got moving around noon and hit BW3 for lunch, followed by Shaun of the Dead at the Levee. It's a darn good movie, especially if you like British humor. The main character, Shaun (of course), got cuter as the movie went on. I'm not sure why, he just did.

After the movie, we fought the rush hour traffic on I-71 to get to Paramount's King's Island for Pride Night. What an incredible night that was!!! Gay and Lesbian couples holding hands, seeing the Flaggots perform, even some very support straight folks made for a heartwarming sight. There were a few folks whose gender was a bit indeterminate to me, but variety is the spice of life. I'm actually impressed that PKI doesn't fall to any pressure the conservative idiots puts on them (I'm sure there has to be a few).

We met up with a crew of LJ'ers, way too many to list here, as they know who they are :) I honestly think it was the "gayest" group of guys I've ever hung out with, and it was wonderful. One of the Columbus guys, Dennis, had me laughing for hours. The things that came out of his mouth (no pun intended, you b*tches!) were the funniest I'd heard in a long while. I also saw a few LJ folks that I wish I had said hi to, but the group just kept moving from one ride to another.

PKI was the best. To go in a totally comfortable environment, with the shortest lines I've ever seen, it was amazing -- a kid's dream come true. The grand tally for rides were: The Beast: 1 ride; Son of the Beast: 3 rides; Delirium: 4 rides, Adventure Express: 1 ride; Drop Zone: 1 ride; Vortex: 1 ride; and Flight of Fear: 1 ride. The only ride we couldn't go on was the Tomb Raider ride because it was "broken." Needless to say, I was exhausted and bruised as a result. It was squeezing in a full day or more of rides in a very short time frame. My head ached, my side and arms were bruised, and my legs were tired.. in other words, I loved it. My last spin on Son of the Beast did me in and I had had enough, so Eric and I left a 1/2 hour early.

We conked out as soon as we got back to my place. We both slept in late again today. Poor Eric has a long drive back to Atlanta. I dread it for him, but he'd better come back next year for PKI. I definitely have to go there again. As for me, I'm still sore and tired, so I'm taking it easy today and thankful today is only Saturday.

It was wonderful. I'm kicking myself for not having gone last year. Next year, you should consider coming up if school permits.

Eric is still funny and adorable. I wish I'd had known, we could have met for lunch or something before the park.

you really didn't miss much on Tomb Raider. it was a spinning rided that suspended you upside down which felt like an eternity. I had the biggest headache after that ride.

but it's always a pleasure to see you!

Eric and I both popped several Advil after we got back to my house. I think Son of the Beast jarred me to the point where I know how shaken babies felt.

And it's always fun to see you too :)
