At my pits' end...
Sep. 10th, 2004 04:10 pmThird post of the day, I apologize. I've given in to the move, chosen the best of the remaining cubicles available. It has the most room and my boss and I have come to a agreeable trade. All is well, so this my last post from this desk. It's been a good one. It's allowed me to stare luridly out the window at buff, furry construction workers when I should have been getting work done. My guess is that my productivity will increase. Change is good.
It also means that I'll have to be a bit more cautious with the LJ entries from now on. I need to retrain myself to hearing when someone is coming up to my desk. Not that most would really care, but I hate getting caught on the internet if I can avoid it.
I'll be coming in tomorrow to move the heavy things, so it'll be a good chance to throw a bunch of junk away. I leave for Toledo for the week on Monday, so it'll be nice to come back to a nice, clean orderly desk for a change... not that it will stay that way for long.
The good news is that since I did this with minimal fuss and no union intervention, the managers owe me as I could have dragged this out for a long time. I like my boss, so that wasn't going to happen.
