2015 Pride Design

I've been struggling to get a Pride shirt design together this year. I'm not sure why, but I've tried repeatedly to get an idea together and it just never looked right. Yesterday, before I met up with the Cincinnati MovieBears for a viewing of "Jurassic World," I sat in Barnes & Noble with a coffee and worked up a couple of ideas.

And I was just "meh" about them.

Strangely, pressure and inspiration often go hand-in-hand. Today, while mowing the yard, an idea hit me to try. So while watching TV tonight, I put this one together and I actually liked the end result. I was feeling a 1970s kind of vibe with the water and I'll put a bit of that into the coloring later.

LOL! Thanks! I love it when inspiration hits. I've hit quite a few drawing blocks lately. We'll see how it looks in color and on a shirt.

I like it! I agree that it has retro feel, while at the same time having a more contemporary look. I like that the sailor is looking into the future.
