Hmmm... You know, if you can still read and comment on LJ, I wonder if they didn't actively block posting, and maybe it's just a side-effect of blocking something else (likely a javascript something) that shows up on LJ's post page. What happens if you try to post from the mobile version of the site (m.livejournal.com)? (Or maybe install noscript on your work browser?) Might be worth a shot...
