Fun Commercials and the Morning After Softball

After I got home last night from softball, I took a hot shower and put more Ben Gay on my aching calf. The smell of menthol filled my bedroom, which naturally got the cats very curious, so they were all over me as I was climbing into bed.

I had the TV on and watched a bit of "Family Guy" before going to sleep. I was still a bit keyed up from the game. A commercial came on for "Cougar Life" or cougarlife dot com or something similar. It had a beautiful blond lady, in her late 30's or 40's going around in a restaurant as she overheard these beautiful young 20-something girls basically dissing young men or such. With each situation, she'd give a fun little quip that was snarky and comical. The one that caught my attention was:

Beautiful girl snidely says to her date with an air of disappointment, "Oh... you're a computer geek..."

To which, the blonde cougar replies, "... and you fold sweaters for a living, honey..."

It was like Anatasia Beaverhausen was alive and well and trolling the bar for fresh meat.

After the show was over, I went to sleep. I woke up this morning with a VERY sore calf as the muscle had tightened up overnight.

I took another hot shower to loosen it up and managed to get dressed though getting that right sock on was a trick! Hopefully with a bit more stretching, it'll be fine by the end of the day.

Oh yeah. When I have a cold and put Vicks Vapo-Rub on me, the menthol drives them CRAZY!

Murphy and Maggie both love the smell and will lick me if I don't stop them. The ACE bandage my captain put on my calf last night had the odor on it and Maggie found it in the floor after my shower. She was in heaven. It must be akin to catnip.

LOL! I hear that! Charlie loves to lick me.

He'll lick me after he's scratched or bitten me, when I've put alcohol or Neosporin on the scratch or bite.*

I always keep him from licking the stuff off me - it can't be good for him to do that.

*He bites less now, as I'[m yelling "NO!" at him when he does that. I also blow in his face when he bites, too.

He plays rough, too - it's rare that I get scratched, but sometimes he'll get me, LOL!

Funny lines! Have you seen any of the promos or series Extreme Cougars? It's women in their 50's to 70's who are in sexual relationships with 20 somethings! :)

I'm sorry I don't know who Anastasia Beaverhausen is - but I bet I'd enjoy meeting her !
I didn't realize you had more than one cat ... I recall Murphy, but I'm not acquainted with the other one.
Hope your calf muscles continue to improve -I'd be happy to apply a little firm massage myself, for medicinal purposes you understand ;0)

Anastasia Beaverhausen is the alter ego of Karen Walker from "Will & Grace" when she is sometimes in places she doesn't want to be known, like a taco place.

And Maggie is a less social kitty than Murphy the Cat. Here is one of my favorite photos of her, taken by mikiedoggie. It really shows her ominous nature.
