Saturday Night Doodles

kybearfuzzAfter being overdosed with social activities this past week, I actually enjoyed being lazy today. I was thinking of going to see "Iron Man 3" today, but I passed. I'll catch it tomorrow or maybe Wednesday.
So tonight, I watched some Netflix and did a bit of drawing. Issue #11 of "Grizzly & The Bear Patrol" is in production, as I drew two pages tonight. I also did a bit of character design. Here's some of what I came up with:
There aren't a lot of female characters in the comic, but I have had this design running through my head for a while. I roughed it out while at the conference last week, but didn't get a chance to draw it out (and color it) until tonight. I ain't revealing her identity just yet.
The first two pages of issue #11 have been drawn. I really liked how this page turned out. Usually I don't put this much detail in the pencils, preferring to add them at the inking stage. I went ahead and put the details in this one for fun. It'll be a few weeks before the comic is done, but I like that I'm already getting started.

Date: 2013-05-06 12:46 pm (UTC)I admit, I ripped off several elements of this young lady's costume design from one I did YEARS ago for a character I no longer draw. I liked it so much that I wanted to at least reintroduce it in some way in what I'm currently doing.
